  1. Smart Launcher FAQ

QuickSwitch support

Does Smart Launcher support QuickSwitch/ there are plans to introduce supports to it?

No, Smart Launcher does not support QuickSwitch, and while we’d like to introduce this feature in the future, there are no plans to do so in the near future.

There are several reasons behind this decision:

  • Smart Launcher is not based on Launcher3, the open-source Android launcher. This means implementing QuickSwitch would require us to develop a custom solution from scratch, diverting significant time and resources from other key features.

  • Rooted devices represent less than 1% of our user base. Given the high development cost, prioritizing QuickSwitch support would not be a justifiable choice at this time.

We always evaluate features based on their impact and feasibility, and while QuickSwitch is something we find interesting, our current focus is on improvements that benefit the majority of our users.
